WriteSome brings to you UWrite, its first short story challenge for storytellers to tell and share their stories with the world and, most importantly, win great prizes!
Terms & Conditions of WritSome Short Story Challenge
- To participate in the Contest, the entries are short stories.
- The short story must be put in Story Category inside the App.
- A Cold Night is the theme and the inspiration of the story.
- Each entry must be in English. Also, it may not exceed 1000 words in length.
- Submit the story through WriteSome App (“The App”).
- The (“Entry Period”) begins at 9:00 am ET on November 3, 2021. Then, it ends at 11:59 pm ET on November 18, 2021.
- App’s clock is the official time-keeping device for the contest. So, all Entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on November 18, 2021, to be eligible.
- Eligible entrants may enter as many times as they wish during the Entry Period. However, the entries must be unique.
- If you don’t have a WriteSome account, you must create one to enter. That is to say, creating an account is free. All App terms and conditions apply. (“Contest Profile”)
- Entries are original, therefore WriteSome will reject plagiarised entries.
- You own all rights necessary to post and submit the entry.
- You never submit the stories to any other contest or previously published.
- Your submission(s) should not contain identifying information of any real person, including the entrant. The information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, or mailing addresses.
- Entries must not contain material that is inappropriate. In other words, material that is obscene, lewd, disparaging, defamatory, libelous, threatening, pornographic, sexually explicit, racially (ethnically offensive), or that otherwise contains inappropriate content or objectionable material as determined by WriteSome in its sole discretion, or that encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or violate any law.
- Entries must be appropriate for viewing by the general public. In addition, WriteSome at its sole discretion will determine the appropriateness.
Eligibility
Open to all the users of the WriteSome app.
Winner Selection
- Entries must be relevant to the Contest theme (A Cold Night).
- The tags #AColdNight and #UWrite should appear in the story. So, WriteSome at its sole discretion can consider the story.
- The announcement of the winners will be on November 21, 2021.
- The winner is an entry with the highest number of likes.
- You may share your entry with the link sharing option within the app and promote it online.
- The instructions guiding the same can be found in this tutorial.
Please note: Entries not on the guidelines will be disqualified.
